Sinnoh is cold, mountainous and full of legends about the origin of time and space. The fourth generation starts classifying each move as physical or special, a change that reorganized all of combat, and takes trades and battles online for the first time.

Platinum, from 2008, is the version to look for: a faster pace, more species available, the Distortion World and a Battle Frontier of its own.
