Competitive score 3 out of 5 Sits at the average of the games in the atlas.
Freedom score 2 out of 5 There is only one path.
Story score 2 out of 5 The story is a backdrop.
Nostalgia score 2 out of 5 It is something new, with no longing involved.
Difficulty score 1 out of 5 One of the easiest in the series: great to start with, shallow for veterans.

The first main adventure entirely in 3D models and the first simultaneous worldwide release in the series. Kalos brings Mega Evolution, the Fairy type and the chance to customize your trainer's look.

It is a generous game: the Exp. Share spreads experience across the whole team, and you get a Kanto starter along the way. It ends up easy and the plot goes by fast, but few titles are as welcoming for someone who is just starting.
