Reading the profile
Scores from 1 to 5, in the atlas's own assessment.
- Competitive score 5 out of 5 A complete fighting game, with ranked online matches.
- Difficulty score 4 out of 5 It demands reading your opponent and training your reactions.
- Freedom score 2 out of 5 There is only one path.
- Nostalgia score 2 out of 5 It is something new, with no longing involved.
- Exploration score 1 out of 5 The world is small or guided.

Instead of picking commands from a menu, you control the Pokémon directly: strike, grab and counter in a rock-paper-scissors system. The fight alternates between an open arena phase and a side-on duel phase.
The DX edition gathers the arcade and Wii U roster and adds fighters. It is easy to learn and has depth for anyone who wants to commit to online play.
It is for you if you
- Like fighting games
- Want quick matches against friends
- Want to see Pokémon fight without turns
Maybe not, if
- You are after adventure, catching or story
- You have no patience for practicing execution

Pokédex
These are fighters and support Pokémon, not a Pokédex, and the list is not in the public database the atlas uses.
